Blackwater Lightship step into The Black Box Live for a one-of-a-kind, stripped-back folk session where the spotlight is on the music and the stories behind it.
Born from a chance meeting on a stag do in Manchester, Tom Roberts and Leon Lockley bonded over their love of R.E.M., Wilco, and Placebo, leading to an unexpected yet powerful musical partnership. Their sound shifts between delicate folk melodies and a raw, alternative energy, making them a duo that demands to be heard.
In this exclusive live session, they will perform a set of original songs, while Rachel, our voice-over host, unearths their journey with questions about their inspirations, their process, and the moments that shaped them. Expect deep harmonies, intricate storytelling, and perhaps even the tale of how Leon’s love for tea landed him a prime-time TV advert.
No distractions. No gimmicks. Just the music, the stories and the moment.
